Trapped emotions cause imbalances in your body and life

We all have emotions. We are emotional beings and our emotions are experienced in response to our environment. Emotions are a normal part of life, as we experience and interpret the world through them. In order to lead a healthy, full life, we need to move through all emotions fluently. Emotions are supposed to be felt, processed by the body, mind, and spirit connection, and then at some point let go of. This is usually the trajectory of positive emotions which result in you feeling good. On the other hand, those “not as good” emotions often follow a different trajectory. Your physical body is a representation of your subconscious mind

Our body is a representation of our subconscious. It holds onto all sorts of memories, beliefs and perceptions for us, a ton of messages. These messages might show up in the form of niggling feelings, dreams or passing thoughts, or get stored in the body in form of tension, blockages, constrictions, flattening sensations and emotions. Like a child that wants undivided attention, our body will only let these messages go, if we are willing to stop and acknowledge and then release them, but this is often easier said than done…

Why saying positive affirmations in the mirror won’t cut it and how to truly love yourself

Most of us are highly aware of the fact that we need to love ourselves and top up our cup first, before we can help others.

But loving yourself is easier said than done.

Positive affirmations can be super powerful, but if every ounce of your being screams “what a load of nonsense!!” within, you won’t be able to feel it and you will simply be wasting your time.

The good news is you can free yourself of the internal conflict and stop holding yourself back from true self-love…

Your path to Freedom is written in your feet

We all have emotions. We are emotional beings and our emotions are experienced in response to our environment. In order to lead a healthy, fulfilled life, we need to move through all emotions fluently.

However, in society we've learnt that some emotions are apparently not "as good" as other ones.

When emotions such as anger, frustration or sadness are suppressed, the emotional energy becomes trapped in the body and can eventually cause symptoms such as uneasiness, emotional ups and downs, depression, and/or physical symptoms.

This is why I had to start listening to my Body

When I was 16 I got very sick, couldn't go to school for many weeks and nothing that the medical system did for me seemed to help. On the contrary, the more I listened to their advice and ignored my inner feeling going "no way, don't do that", the worse I got.

I was quite stressed out and overwhelmed at the time with one of my close friends wanting to commit suicide, me coaching her and my boyfriend and her not getting along. There was a lot of other stuff going on, but this situation just tipped it over.

Read on, if you'd like to hear what happened next and how my body taught me that I had to listen to it.
